Human Resources Development
CRC 1182 offers a counseling program on career development for early career scientists from PhD-Candidates and post doctorate researchers to young principal investigators. Organized and conducted by professional human resources consultant Ute Jülly together with principle investigators of the CRC offer valuable advice on essential requirements for a successful academic career – possibly but not necessarily leading to a professorship.
YIRD
The CRC 1182 holds once a year a “Young Investigator Research Day” (YIRD) to give the young researchers (postdocs and PhD students) of the CRC 1182 an opportunity to present their work to scientists inside and outside the CRC 1182 and to support networking. The YIRD is organized by the young researchers of the CRC 1182 with support from the CRC 1182 office.
The next YIRD will take place in summer 2019!
Young Investigator Award
The aim of the Young Investigator Award is to support on one hand the junior researchers of the CRC 1182 by providing them the possibility to develop their independent research project, on the other hand it is for the whole CRC 1182 the possibility to gain new scientific input and more connections within the research projects.
Once a year the CRC 1182 supports 2 junior researchers with each 15,000 €*.
