CIFAR welcomes 35 new fellows

The Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR) unites leading scientists from various disciplines, to develop future solutions for global health, technological and environmental challenges. Over the last year CIFAR 35 new fellows and advisors have been appointed, now totaling close to 400 distinguished scientists and scholars, based at 129 leading institutions in 18 countries. Working collaboratively in 14 research programs, they are addressing some of the most important and complex questions facing our world today. Thomas Bosch, cell and developmental biologist and speaker to both the research focus “Kiel Life Science” and the Collaborative Research Center 1182 “Origin and Function of Metaorganisms” at Kiel University, joined this exclusive community including many of the world’s best scientific minds, as a “Senior Fellow” in 2016 to join CIFAR’s “Humans & the Microbiome”-Program.
